What Are the Signs of Gum Disease?

Posted on 11/7/2022 by Dr. Christianne Lee
What Are the Signs of Gum Disease? An infection like gum disease prefers not to get detected. If a person is not careful, it sneaks into your mouth and weakens the condition of your mouth. This is so because the beginning stages are painless. But if a person is alert and vigilant, he/she can catch it early and treat it before it becomes worse and worse where you have to lose some teeth.

What Are the Early Signs of Gum Disease?

If you have red and swollen gums it should alert you that something might be not well with your gums. The enlarged gums bleed easily, which is the second thing you will observe. Even without applying pressure to your toothbrush, your spit always seems to have blood in it. Bad breath is another early indicator. Taking a bite from spoiled food will have a similar effect. However, gum disease may be present if you continue to have bad breath despite frequent brushing and flossing. The gums being pulled away from your teeth is the final indication of the early bunch.

How Do I Determine I Have Gum Disease?

Let's talk about the indications that always confirm the diagnosis. This is if the initial warning indicators are vague and you are still confused about what is going on with your teeth. The pus between the teeth and gums is an obvious sign that you need to be checked. Teeth loosening often happens next. When you bite them, you'll also notice a shift in how they fit. The teeth appear to have been rearranged because of the gum movement.

Don't wait until you need an extraction because your teeth are becoming loose. If you have observed any of these symptoms, give us a call right away so we can help you maintain excellent dental health.
